They say they are considering legal action for a "grotesque and totally unjustifiable" invasion of privacy in the same country where William's mother Princess Diana died while fleeing paparazzi.
The royals add the couple is "saddened" by the use of the photos, in fact confirming that they are real,
They are blurry and shot from a distance but it gives us a chance to examine two of the treasures in the royal chest, in more ways than one.
